PR-DC Debuts at Dubai EXPO 2020: Excitement and new challenges

At the World Expo Dubai EXPO 2020, which began on October 1st, the Serbian pavilion shone with innovations from PR-DC (Pink Research & Development Center). Drones IKA-20 and IKA-01 garnered significant interest from visitors, and company representatives are now sharing their impressions and plans for the future.

„We are proud to present something from a small country like Serbia that is on par with global products. The reactions to our drones have been fantastic, and the whole experience at the expo has given us the energy and motivation to continue. This is our first appearance at a prestigious fair – and I'm sure there will be many more,” said Tijana Petrašinović Mileta, director of PR-DC.

Miloš Petrašinović, the chief engineer and co-owner of PR-DC, detailed the characteristics of the drones: „Our drones are not commercial but are designed for special tasks. They are particularly interesting to the market in the United Arab Emirates, which is why we presented them at EXPO 2020. The IKA-20 and IKA-01 are much more complex and advanced than commercial drones. The IKA-20 can carry 20 kilograms of cargo for up to 30 minutes, while the IKA-01 can carry up to one kilogram. The IKA-01 is ideal for special tasks, such as delivering blood or medical supplies”, Petrašinović added.

At the World Expo „Connecting Minds, Creating the Future” in Dubai, running from October 1, 2021, to March 31, 2022, Serbia will showcase the theme „Serbia Creates Ideas—Inspired by the Past, We Shape the Future.” Through more than 150 different events, Serbia will present various economic sectors, scientific content, technological innovations, creative industries, and tourist offerings, aiming to portray itself as a modern, innovative country attractive for trade and tourism development.

The Serbian pavilion, located in the heart of the Mobility District of the World Expo, is designed as a time capsule connecting the legacy of the Neolithic Vinča culture with the digitally advanced and modern Serbia.

PR-DC proudly showcased their innovations at this prestigious event, hoping for further successes and challenges that the future holds. „Expo 2020 has shown us that we are on the right path, and the reactions from visitors have further motivated us. We look forward to future challenges and successes,” concluded Petrašinović Mileta.
