Strategic Partnership Between the Faculty of Transport and PR-DC: Future Traffic Engineers to Gain Practical Experience
The Faculty of Transport at the University of Belgrade and PR-DC have formalized their strategic partnership today by signing a memorandum of cooperation. This memorandum includes the reception of traffic engineering students for internships and work on real projects, providing them with the opportunity to gain valuable practical experience in innovative technologies.
The agreement was signed by Tijana Petrašinović, director of PR-DC, and Dr. Nebojša Bojović, dean of the Faculty of Transport. Dean Bojović emphasized the importance of this agreement for both students and the faculty, noting that it will enable students to familiarize themselves with the latest technologies and contribute to highly innovative projects. „This confirms that academic knowledge is recognized not only within the University but also outside it, in the real sector. We are very pleased to provide our students with professional internships and the opportunity to work on advanced technologies," says Bojović.
Tijana Petrašinović Mileta, director of PR-DC, adds that students from the Faculty of Transport are key to organizing airspace and aligning with traffic regulations. „Our vision is to prepare for the future, and future traffic engineers will play a significant role in implementing unmanned aerial vehicles. Technologies are rapidly changing, but it is equally important to comply with current regulations. I believe that students will gain valuable practical knowledge that will benefit them in their future careers,” Petrašinović emphasizes.
Professor Dr. Olja Čokorilo, head of the Department of Air Traffic and Transport at the Faculty of Transport, adds that the agreement represents an important challenge and opportunity for young researchers and doctoral students. „This agreement allows young researchers to validate their scientific research and apply it in practice, which is of great significance for our academic community and industry", Čokorilo highlights.
This is the second agreement PR-DC has signed with a higher education institution, following a successful agreement with the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Belgrade last year. The collaboration with the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering included joint appearances at forums, project cooperation, and student internships. PR-DC will be presenting at the Technical Fair at the Belgrade Fair from May 24 to 27, showcasing its innovative drones and projects, both current and planned.
