Serbian Drones at Bulgaria's Largest Security Fair „Hemus 2022” Visited by Bulgarian President

In Plovdiv, Bulgaria, the largest Bulgarian international defense and security exhibition, „Hemus 2022,” opened today, bringing together numerous exhibitors and visitors from around the world.

One of the exhibitors at this prestigious event is the Serbian company PR-DC, which will showcase its IKA series drones. The exhibition at Hemus follows their successful appearance at the Science and Technology Fair in Belgrade last week. „This is our first fair or exhibition in a neighboring country, and it is very significant that Bulgaria is a member of the European Union, which opens the doors to a new market for us. So far, we have mainly focused on the Asian market and fairs like Dubai Expo and UMEX in the United Arab Emirates. We are eager to see the competition among drones at this exhibition. We look forward to exchanging knowledge and technology with other companies involved in drone manufacturing”, said Miloš Petrašinović, an engineer at PR-DC.

„Hemus 2022” was officially opened today, and among the high-ranking dignitaries present at the opening was the President of Bulgaria, Rumen Radev. During his tour of the fair, Radev visited the PR-DC stand, where our young engineers had the opportunity to present their drones and other products to him. The exhibition will be visited by numerous delegations from 68 countries, including representatives from NATO and EU agencies, the European Defense Agency (EDA), the European Commission, domestic and international institutions, business representatives, and representatives from companies and commercial organizations.

„The drones we produce are multifunctional and have various applications in different industries. This week in Bulgaria, we could see how our drones compare to those from the most economically developed countries in Europe used in the defense industry. In July, all of us at PR-DC will experience the fulfillment of student dreams as we will participate in the most renowned aviation fair in the world, the Farnborough International Airshow in London," Petrašinović highlights.

PR-DC emphasizes that during each appearance at international fairs, they strive to promote Serbia as much as possible as a country of advanced technologies. „Many participants here in Bulgaria have pointed out that they are surprised by the technologies we use in production and that all our drones are made in Serbia. This is why such exhibitions are valuable not only for our company but also for the entire country, as they spread the word about Serbia as a center of high technology and mechanical engineering," said Miloš Petrašinović.

The next event where PR-DC will present its drones is the Eurosatory Fair in Paris in the middle of this month. In just under two years, PR-DC has managed to push the boundaries of domestic drone production and position itself as the absolute leader among private companies in this field. The company also boasts excellent cooperation with the university community, having signed agreements with the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Engineering at the University of Belgrade for joint research, participation in various projects and fairs, and accepting students for internships.
